Sam Johnston

Sam is a young industry trailblazer who has one aim – to showcase where Australian food and fibre comes from, who makes it and how it’s made. Growing up west of Forbes NSW, Sam is passionate about being the link between producer and consumer, city and bush.

Sam promotes Australia’s agricultural industry and its primary producers to the country’s metropolitan-based population through the social media organisation and movement #ThankAFarmerForYourNextMeal, which he co-founded. After completing his Bachelor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Sydney, Sam joined the Meares & Associates team as a rural property sales and marketing specialist.

Sam was also an AgriFutures Horizon Scholar and evoke^AG. 2020 Future Young Leader.
