Cost
Please note: Companies are responsible for supplying their own AV/furniture and covering travel and accommodation costs.

Selection criteria
To help guide suitability, applicants should ideally fall within TRL 7–9, indicating a market-ready product or service with demonstrated commercial traction.
Commercial traction (30%)
Evidence of revenue, customer uptake, pilot projects, or strategic partnerships that demonstrate real-world market engagement and momentum.
Technology and/or innovation relevance to the agrifood, fisheries, or forestry sectors (25%)
Clear application within the agrifood system, including agriculture, food, fisheries, or forestry, with demonstrated relevance to industry needs and stakeholder engagement.
Agrifood refers to the entire system involved in the production, development, processing, and distribution of food, fibre, and agricultural products. It spans the value chain from farming, fisheries and forestry, through processing, logistics, consumption, and waste management.
Export potential and global expansion (15%)
Clear strategy or proven track record for international expansion. May include export sales, overseas partnerships, or defined go-to-market plans.
Demonstrable impact (15%)
Evidence of how the innovation delivers positive outcomes for the agrifood sector. This may include:
- Improved environmental sustainability
- Greater productivity or efficiency
- Enhanced food safety or security
- Social or economic impact.
Diversity (15%)
We value and actively prioritise diversity and inclusion across our startup ecosystem. Applications will be assessed on efforts to foster representation and cultural inclusion, including:
- Female founders and mixed-gender founding teams
- Indigenous entrepreneurs or startups working with Indigenous communities
- Founders from regional and remote areas
- Companies integrating culturally significant practices or Indigenous knowledge systems.
