Frequently asked questions
What qualifies as a sideline event?
Any event hosted during the week of evokeAG. 2026 (i.e. weekend before and days following) that aligns with agrifood innovation, research, technology, sustainability, or appeals to the broader evokeAG. audience. This includes networking functions, innovation tours, pitch nights, workshops, and community activations.
Are there specific locations, dates and times that sideline events must take place?
No, your event doesn’t have to be in Melbourne or during the week of evokeAG. If you’re hosting a relevant event in the lead-up or surrounding dates and want to align it with evokeAG. or build momentum, you’re welcome to submit it for inclusion.
However, sideline events cannot be run between 8.00am – 5.00pm on Tuesday, 17 February and Wednesday, 18 February 2026, as these are the official evokeAG. event days and times. Any event held during these core hours will not be considered an official sideline event.
Is there a registration fee?
No, registration is completely free. However, you are responsible for all costs associated with planning and delivering your event.
Will evokeAG. help promote or manage my event?
evokeAG. will promote your event through our official program and (where possible) via our communications platforms, but event delivery and management remain your responsibility.
Are grants or funding available to support sideline events?
No, evokeAG. and AgriFutures Australia do not have any grants or funding available to support sideline events.
Can my event be invitation-only?
Absolutely. Both public and private events are welcome, just indicate this in your submission form. Even if the event is private and via invitation only we would appreciate you letting us know so we can track these events, and advise if there might be any scheduling conflicts.
What happens after I submit?
The evokeAG. team reviews each submission for brand alignment and to (where possible) prevent duplication. If approved, you will receive confirmation (to the nominated email), and your event will be listed in the official digital sideline event program.
Can I use evokeAG. branding?
Once approved, you’ll receive a digital asset pack including social media assets for promotion. If you use the evokeAG. logo or branding on other assets approval is required. Please email [email protected] to seek any approvals.
evokeAG. cannot be used in your event name however you are welcome to mention you are hosting an evokeAG. sideline event.
Is there a submission deadline?
Yes – all events must be submitted by 30 January 2026 to be included in the official sideline event program.
