Nail your unique value proposition

What makes your solution stand out? Be crystal clear about the problem you’re solving and why your approach is different. Investors and assessors want to see real impact whether that’s for producers, supply chains, or consumers. Be specific, not generic.

Cut the jargon and keep it clear

Not everyone reviewing your application speaks “agritech”. Use plain, accessible language to explain your product, technology or platform. Avoid acronyms and technical shorthand. If a farmer, investor, and corporate partner can all understand your pitch, you’re on the right track.

Answer the question (not the one in your head)

Every question in the application form is there for a reason. Stay focused, keep your answers relevant, and avoid going off on tangents. Clear, concise responses show you respect the process, and the readers time.

Tell your startups story

Your “why” and origin story matters. What inspired you (or your founder) launch this startup? What drives your, and the team’s passion for agrifood tech and innovation? Sharing your journey helps reviewers connect with you beyond the tech. Remember: people invest in people.

Be authentic and genuine – let your voice shine

Polished is good. Generic is not.  Authenticity stands out in a pile of cookie-cutter applications.  Let your personality and passion come through. Investors and partners want to work with real humans, not just a slick pitch deck.

Show how you’ll add value to the ecosystem
