Stronger together: UK delegation to attend evokeAG. 2025 to explore potential agritech partnerships
The UK delegation of agritech businesses attending evokeAG. 2025 presents exciting opportunities for innovation in Australian agriculture.

As the agriculture industry faces growing global challenges like climate change, collaboration on agritech solutions between nations is crucial for boosting the sector’s future resilience and sustainability.
While there might be stark differences between the UK and Australia when it comes to landscapes and climate, many of the agritech solutions we need are strikingly similar. That’s why Innovate UK is sending a delegation of UK agritech business leaders to evokeAG. 2025.
In this article, we speak with UK-based FlexFarming and enstic Ltd to explore their exciting solutions, collaboration opportunities, and what Australia and the UK can learn from each other.

The delegation will include representatives from Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, the UK’s innovation agency, and participants from its Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) and Global Incubator Programme (GIP)
From net zero year-round strawberry production to real-time insect monitoring technologies, the delegation includes some of the UK’s most exciting agritech startups and scale-ups.
The group hopes to gain valuable insights and build connections with potential partners and investors in Australia during their visit.
This initiative builds on the existing Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement and is one of the ways that both nations are working closely together to strengthen partnerships and drive innovative solutions.
Smart collaboration and cooperation can greatly benefit both the Australian and UK agricultural sectors. It can also have a positive impact on the global agriculture sector, as two leaders in research and innovation work together to address some of the most pressing problems in agriculture.
In particular, there are significant opportunities to collaborate on technologies that improve sustainability and resilience as the sector responds to ongoing challenges and risks such as climate change, biosecurity, and water scarcity.
Net zero fresh food solution boosts year-round strawberry production
FlexFarming is one of the businesses attending evokeAG. as part of the UK delegation. It’s part of Innovate UK’s Global Incubator Programme, an acceleration programme for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises to grow and scale through exploring the potential of global markets.
FlexFarming is on track to build the first net zero strawberry production facility in the UK, with the eventual aim of rolling out innovative fresh food production solutions market-wide.

“The global food supply chain faces significant vulnerabilities – ranging from extreme weather conditions and inefficient land use to water scarcity and reliance on fossil fuels for farming operations,” says Ahmad Mohseni, Founder of FlexFarming.

FlexFarming is looking forward to showcasing its vision for flexible, resource-efficient farming.
“At the same time, energy systems worldwide are under strain, with the urgent need to transition to more sustainable, resilient solutions.”
“FlexFarming aims to bridge the gap between these challenges by implementing innovative Total Controlled Environment Agriculture (TCEA) techniques combined with renewable energy sources.”
“Our advanced growing platform produces high-quality, sustainable strawberries year-round independent of seasonal and climatic conditions.” Ahmad Mohseni, Founder of FlexFarming.
“Our proprietary Farm As a Battery (FAB) technology optimizes renewable energy use by integrating TECA farm electricity demand with the energy market, reducing operational costs and ensuring cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability.”
Where innovation, technology and sustainability meet
Ahmad says that FlexFarming is looking forward to showcasing its vision for flexible, resource-efficient farming.
“We’re attending evokeAG. 2025 because it’s the platform where agrifood innovation, technology, and sustainability intersect,” says Ahmad.

“FlexFarming is keen on the Australian market due to its substantial agricultural sector, which is projected to reach $100 billion by 2030, and its strong emphasis on integrating digital technologies to enhance profitability.
“Australia’s diverse climate and focus on sustainable agriculture make it an ideal environment for our TECA technology.,” he added.

FlexFarming’s advanced growing platform produces high-quality, sustainable strawberries year-round, independent of seasonal and climatic conditions.
“The extreme heat and water scarcity in Australia highlight the need for sustainable, efficient agricultural practices, perfectly aligning with FlexFarming’s net zero production ethos and FAB method.
“We aim to explore opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships to support the adoption of innovative agricultural practices that ensure year-round, resource-efficient food production.”
Real-time insect monitoring technology to reduce crop loss and improve environmental sustainability
Another UK business attending evokeAG. 2025 is enstic Ltd, which is part of Innovate UK’s Global Business Innovation Programme.
enstic Ltd is automating the tracking of insect populations to simplify decision-making for agriculture and biodiversity management. Its devices recognise insects through sound, delivering real-time monitoring solutions to help empower farmers through high-resolution data.
“Farmers worldwide struggle to control pests effectively while reducing their reliance on chemical pesticides.” Jessica Stokes, Co-founder of enstic Ltd.
“Our technology bridges this gap by delivering precise, data-driven insights, enabling farmers to make informed decisions and adopt more targeted, sustainable pest control strategies.
“By identifying insect pests early and accurately, farmers can take more precise action, limiting crop losses, reducing disease amongst their livestock, and lessening the environmental impact of interventions.

“Our devices can also be used to track pollinators and other beneficial insects, giving farmers and researchers the data needed to assess the effectiveness of regenerative farming practices,” Jessica added.

enstic’s technology delivers precise, data-driven insights, enabling farmers to make informed decisions and adopt more targeted, sustainable pest control strategies.
“Healthy, biodiverse ecosystems are naturally more resilient to climate pressures – whether that’s shifting pest populations, extreme weather, or habitat loss. By integrating enstic’s technology into agricultural systems, we can help build farms that are not only more productive but also more ecologically balanced.”
Adapting technologies to Australia’s climate and conditions
According to Jessica, evokeAG. 2025 is an excellent platform to learn more about Australia’s unique challenges and conditions.
“Australia faces many of the same challenges as the UK – changing climate conditions, the need for more sustainable agricultural practices, and the pressure to boost productivity while reducing environmental impact,” says Jessica.
“I’m particularly keen to learn how Australian farmers are adapting to these challenges, especially in terms of regenerative agriculture and ecosystem-based approaches.
“By understanding the specific pest pressures and biodiversity dynamics in Australia, we can explore how enstic’s technology could be adapted to local conditions.” Jessica Stokes.
Jessica says there are great opportunities for the two nations to work together to bolster sustainable food production.
“The UK and Australia both have strong agritech ecosystems, and there’s huge potential to share knowledge and technologies that support sustainable food production,” she says.
“Australia’s large-scale farming operations, combined with its leading research in ecosystem resilience and regenerative agriculture, provide valuable insights that UK farmers and researchers can learn from.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting with Australian farmers, researchers, and agritech companies on the ground.”
