Toowoomba, QLD
Young emerging leader Emma Moss grew up on a small farm near Pittsworth, Queensland. Following graduating from the Glennie school in 2015, she spent 2 years working as a station hand in the Kimberley and Pilbara, WA.
To capture the beauty around her, she bought a second-hand camera which led to her starting her Instagram account – @Life_On_A_Station – which now has over 20k followers.
This public exposure has led to an ABC InvisFarmer blog, Graziher, Rural Weekly and various articles, a Landline feature, speaking engagements as well as learning and leadership opportunities.
She now studies a Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture majoring in Livestock production at the University of Queensland.
Emma was awarded an AgriFutures Horizon Scholarship in 2018, sponsored by the MLA for 2018/2019 as well as becoming an ABC Trailblazer, working to help drought-affected communities through art exhibitions with her photos.
