Nicolette is a journalist, copywriter and storyteller, trained across digital and print platforms.

Raised in a tiny town on the NSW Mid North Coast, followed by wonderful experiences on remote cattle and sheep stations near Camerons Corner, then in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Nicolette combined her interest in regional Australia with her passion for writing to work as a journalist for Fairfax Media.

Following several years in journalism, she worked as a copywriter for peak bodies and lobby groups, agricultural entities, property businesses, not-for-profits and government agencies.

Today, as Manager, Content Producer and Editor for evokeAG. and growAG. she contributes to articles, interviews, the evokeAG. podcast, website, social media, monthly newsletters, and enjoys a chat more than ever.

Indiana Rhind first unlocked her love for agriculture in the cattle arena with her school’s show team. The agricultural engineer from the Central Coast of New South Wales is the Co-Founder of Farmwall, an urban farming startup delivering corporate engagement programs with sustainability and wellbeing outcomes. Alisa Milalia is an aquaculture research scientist with a rich background. Born in Canada, she has Romanian heritage, grew up on the beautiful Kapiti Coast in New Zealand and now lives in Townsville, Queensland.
With a background in Marine Biology and Ecology, Alisa discovered a passion for seaweed aquaculture during her postgraduate studies. The evokeAG. 2025 Groundbreaker is developing sustainable seaweed cultivation methods, recognising its potential to improve environmental sustainability, drive economic growth, and support rural communities.

Australian venture for Onside proves fruitful after wine industry win

A nice drop is in order for Onside after the Christchurch-based farm management app recently took out the AgTech and Digital category at the Wine Industry IMPACT Awards. The company was recognised for its ‘Track and Trace’ pilot project, which involved 90 winegrowers across four New South Wales (NSW) wine regions, putting its traceability technology to the test to improve biosecurity in various communities.
