Six tips to help you make the most of evokeAG. 2024

Things couldn’t get much warmer in the Southern Hemisphere and that can only mean one thing – AgriFutures evokeAG. 2024 is firing up for the fourth year. Are you heading west in less than two weeks? We’ve put together a list of must-dos to help you squeeze every drop out of evokeAG. 2024.

1. Come prepared

We all know the old saying about fail to prepare, prepare to fail. A touch dramatic? Yes. But the sentiment still rings true. The evokeAG. 2024 program is chock-a-block so take some time beforehand to get to know it. You can find it at evokeag.com, or in the event app. All evokeAG. delegates have received an invitation for the event app in their inbox from our app partner, Pappyon. It’s your go-to for all event information.

If you’ve registered for someone else with your email (or someone else registered you), jump onto Eventbrite and update their details now. This is important so that tickets and app information make their way into everybody’s hot little hands. Didn’t get the email? Reach out to [email protected] for support now.

Make the most of the networking functionality in the event app and make sure you are visible to other delegates so they can contact you now.

2. Connect today, meet tomorrow

Why wait to get to Perth to make connections? The 2024 speakers, partners, and delegates in the event app are right at your fingertips and its match making function will be your evokeAG. professional Cupid. Send them a message now or use the ‘Connect’ button to find delegates perfectly aligned with you and your business goals and book a meeting via the app. Prepare to know who will be in the room before you get there by starting the conversation today and continuing it in Perth at the RSM Business lounge.

From CEOs to emerging startups, you’re going to be bumping shoulders with thousands of people at evokeAG. 2024.

3. You’re coming in hot, let everyone know

When else do you get the opportunity to be in the one place as an entire agrifood ecosystem? Investors, researchers, producers, researchers, corporates and government – they’re all there. As Stu Adam, Agronomeye, CEO, shared recently;

“There was a moment at evokeAG. 2023 where I stood back and saw every single person in our team talking to all the different players in the ecosystem at the one time. It would’ve taken us months and months of Zoom calls, meetings and follow ups to make that happen.”

Make the most of the networking functionality in the app and make sure you are visible to other delegates so they can contact you. That’s what the event is all about, after all. Check your privacy settings and share your contact details. While you’re at it, why not let your LinkedIn network know you’ll be at evokeAG. 2024? Here’s a little something we prepared earlier, feel free to share far and wide;

‘I’ll be at evokeAG. 2024, will you?

🚀 If you’re also attending, let’s make it an opportunity to connect and collaborate. Reach out to me via the event app, and let’s schedule a meet-up. See you there!’

This is just a suggestion, don’t forget to put your own spin on it and give others a little insight into you.

4. Network beyond the handshake

Whether you’re at the top of your game or just starting out, good networking will take you places. But it’s more than just a handshake and a quick chat before you’re on your merry way. It’s about creating meaningful relationships that take you (and them) the distance. Here’s three simple pointers to help you sharpen your networking knack:

  • Build quality connections and stay open

From CEOs to emerging startups, you’re going to be bumping shoulders with thousands of people at evokeAG. 2024. Regardless of their title, you’re bound to find value in every conversation. Even if you can’t do business with them, they may know someone you can. Connect with as many people as possible and soak up all the golden insights coming your way.

Put the wheels in motion post event to follow up on connections made. You can also book post event meetings via the app.

  • Time is the ultimate investment

It might sound obvious but can often go by the wayside. If you’ve connected with someone and you’re already picturing them slotting right into your future goals, it’s a great idea to lock in time during your time in Perth to catch up in the RSM Business Lounge. If you’ve got a little extra time up your sleeve, be sure to book one or more of the evokeAG. sideline events held throughout the week of evokeAG. 2024.

  • Follow up

Make hay while the sun shines and lock some time into your calendar in the weeks following evokeAG. 2024 to put the wheels in motion (you can also book post event meetings via the app). It’ll be an all-consuming two days but once you’ve taken a moment to regroup, follow up with everyone you’ve met and would like to stay in contact with. No time to wait? Be bold and send a message while you’re waiting in the airport lounge on the way home. As they say, the early bird gets the worm.

Please take the time to complete the survey you’ll receive at the end of day 2.

5. Don’t bypass the sideline events

The workshops, tours, and meetings are an opportunity to dive into Western Australian products, services, innovations and regional strengths, as well as explore opportunities and solutions to global agrifood and beverage supply chain challenges. Our partners are hosting a diverse range of events for producers, corporates, investors and startups. Explore your options here. While you’re west, check out the best attractions Perth has to offer and plan your trip here.

6. How did we go?

The bar is high but each year evokeAG. aims to raise it. Your feedback is critical to ensure the event continually improves. Please take the time to complete the survey you’ll receive at the end of day 2. Let us have it; from the brilliant to the could be better, we want to hear it.

Tickets are on sale for evokeAG. 2024 to be held on 20-21 February 2024 in Perth, Western Australia. Following a sell-out event in 2023 we are encouraging delegates to secure their tickets, flights and accommodation now.
